Barclaycard Wiresless Festival 2011
Objective

To raise awareness of Barclaycard's sponsorship of the Wireless Festival, an annual multi-day festival in Hyde Park, London. Amplify the brand's presence at the event by creating an exclusive VIP space that hosted key music insiders, celebrities and performing artists.

Brave Idea

Mission invited and hosted a number of key industry insiders and celebrities to the Barclaycard VIP space, securing a series of showbiz news stories and festival reviews that accredited Barclaycard.

Music artist and radio DJ Huey Morgan was also secured to conduct a series of pre-festival interviews and increase the awareness in the lead up to the event.

Medium

Key celebrities were secured for the Barclaycard VIP space which ensured it was the most exclusive and desirable space at the festival, helping generate coverage in all the key national/consumer and online titles.

Scope

Mission secured the appropriate mix of 'popular' and 'cool' celebrities who were the right fit for Barclaycard and able to generate widespread coverage across both online and offline titles.

Outcome

The campaign generated a 30% increase in coverage from 2010, with over 100 pieces of coverage including The Sun, Grazia and OK Magazine. All coverage achieved accredited Barclaycard Wireless.
